THE MEDIA OPERATIONS TEAM Sitting at the heart of our business is the media operations team, whose job is to help bring the very best of the group to our clients. We focus on process, technology, automation, governance, and change to help the organisation achieve its goals. ROLE OUTLINE This role is the market lead for the management and excellence of our Nexus offshore strategy. This position reports into the head of media operations and more broadly forms part of the media operations team, both centrally and across the business. You will drive continual improvement of existing offshored capabilities, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, commerce, ad operations, and analytics. This is done in close collaboration with others in the media operations team, people planning, talent acquisition, and agency leadership. In addition to overseeing existing capabilities, you will work with the business to accelerate the development and adoption of new & emerging offshore capabilities, such as SEO, digital IO, and planning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work collaboratively with offshore global management on the local strategy, objectives, engagement, ways of working, evolution of existing services and scoping demand for launch of new services. Drive adoption of offshoring within the market and drive utilisation of offshored resources. Serve as the point of contact for market/agency teams who have not worked with offshore previously and need an introduction. Drive campaign excellence and operational agility by advising/educating the broader organization on global team processes and evangelise ways of working. Ensure all processes are aligned with Nexus global best practices (e.g., use of Wrike) and support the roll out new processes/updates as and when required. Act as the point of escalation for market leadership related to any delivery issues in the hubs, and conversely act as point of escalation for the offshore leadership for any challenges working with the market. Develop and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders across your portfolio and the broader transformation team to proactively identify and address opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. Adhere to change management best practices, meeting deadlines as required and proactively escalating any risks or barriers to completion. Seek and implement improvements to our team ways of working that increase effectiveness and efficiency of our services. Provide support to the head of media operations and managing partner to deliver on broader strategic activities where required. WHAT MAKES A GREAT MEDIA OPERATIONS MANAGER Attention to detail: monitoring the quality and accuracy of your own work, and that of others. Proactivity/taking the initiative: achieves ambitious but realistic goals. Problem solving: autonomously solves complex problems with minimal supervision, and proactively follows up after implementing a solution. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE Extensive experience in delivering similar programs within the media industry, with a solid understanding of change management principles, particularly cultural and behavioural impact. Significant experience in delivering process improvement using recognised principles, methodologies, and tools. Strong knowledge of the media process, from planning through to activation, and the relevant systems used throughout. Senior stakeholder management, including demonstrable success in guiding decisions and action via influence. Expert communication skills; able to clearly convey messages to a variety of audiences and secure alignment regardless of the challenges.
