Domus has an incredibly exciting opportunity for an experienced OFSTED Children's Home Manager to develop a brand-new Children's residential service in Ashford, Kent.

The home is Ofsted Registered to care for Children/Young People with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

We are ideally looking for an experienced OFSTED Registered Manager, or highly experienced Deputy Manager, with proven experience managing a residential children's home.

Key Responsibilities of an OFSTED Registered Manager:

Manage an Ofsted Registered Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service following the relevant legislation, regulations, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home. Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision. Help with the start-up process of the new service. Help with the development of the children's home. Oversee support staff ensuring the home complies with all aspects of the Children's Act & surpasses National Minimum care standards. Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and safer recruitment of staff. Lead the Home in establishing a quality led service and ensuring all National Minimum standards and Ofsted inspection framework outcomes are fully compliant.

Key Requirements an OFSTED Registered Manager must have: Candidate must possess QCF Level 5 diploma in Management and leadership in health and social for residential childcare or equivalent. Significant management experience of taking a lead role in the planning, development, and delivery of people-based services in line with contractual requirements in a service delivery organisation. A minimum of 2 years' recent experience of managing and supervising staff in children's social care and working in a residential setting. Excellent knowledge of child protection procedures. Experience in managing diverse budget lines and achieving financial planning. A track record of developing and using relevant management information/quality systems to ensure high levels of operational performance. Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred).
