Start here. Grow here. Our Transportation team currently has a vacancy in our Swindon office for a Principal Overhead Line Engineer with experience working on Network Rail’s infrastructure. Working as part of a well-established OLE team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering safe, economical, and quality projects for a variety of clients to meet their objectives and requirements. The Principal Overhead Design Engineer will work on the best system design approach for each project. This role may include responsibility for leading a team of engineers and designers. Here’s what you’ll do: Deliver:
Undertake design duties as a Contractors Responsible Engineer for OLE design schemes. Produce the technical designs for OLE including Layout Plans, Cross Sections, Allocations, Isolation Diagrams updates, bonding designs, and supporting reports and calculations. Provide Expertise:
Develop OLE designs through the different stages of the project life cycle for complex sites. Ensure designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructable, and apply Safe by Design principles. Collaborate:
Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractors. Ensure Quality:

Here’s what we’re looking for: BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a professional institution. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in OLEMI and other OLE ranges i.e. UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, UK1 etc. Familiar with Isolation diagrams and their update process.
