O&M engineer – Thetford

Job title: Electrician / Solar O&M Technician Salary: £40k - £45k Location: Thetford I am working with an international organisation seeking an O&M Engineer based in Thetford. They are open to seeing profiles with an electrical background from other industries, with a passion to move into the renewables sector! Duties and Responsibilities: Always adhere to all HSE procedures and play an active role in risk assessment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical components, inverters and modules. CCTV/Security Systems. Monitoring systems. Structures. Provide electrical maintenance services for a portfolio of solar farms in a specified region. This will require regular travel to sites in your allocated region. On occasions, you will be expected to travel to different regions to provide extra support if required. Assist with the compilation of insurance and warranty claims. Take full ownership of assigned sites. Manage relationships with local subcontractors. Qualifications Required: 18th edition 2391 test & inspect NVQ level 3 (required) LV/HVAP (desired but not necessary) Other Role Requirements: Working at heights is an advantage. Be comfortable working in a team. Good time-management and punctuality. Able to work under pressure. Able to prioritize workload effectively. General Skills: Able to work remotely without close supervision. HSE awareness. Being pro-active, able to work autonomously and use initiative. Problem-solving attitude. Naturally inquisitive with strong technical understanding. A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to be adaptable. Passionate about renewables (highly desirable). Motivated and willing to receive training and development. Be comfortable in an outdoor work environment. Full clean driving license required.
