O&M Technician - Solar 40,000 - 45,000 basic salary Overtime On call rota allowance - 1 in 4 weeks Van and fuel card Private health insurance Alecto Recruitment are partnering with a Commercial and Industrial Solar PV company who operate UK wide and are now looking to appoint a Solar O&M Technician in Somerset due to continued growth. Role Overview: Reporting into the O&M Coordinator as part of the O&M team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing customers' assets to the highest standards, maintaining a must repair and first-time fix mentality. Duties as the Solar Operations and Maintenance Engineer will include: Responsibility for solar plant performance, optimisation of the site, and maintaining equipment availability. Pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across solar farms, including electrical maintenance and supporting the HV team. Effectively help to resolve work tickets and report issues back to the line manager, compiling reports of completed works. Liaising with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, the grounds team, and external subcontractors when required. Taking part in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including Bank Holidays and weekends). We are looking for someone with the following: Experience in industrial, utility scale, and/or roof top solar is preferred. However, if no solar experience, then an industrial electrician background is of interest. A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection or similar electrical course. 18th edition wiring regulations. High Voltage (HV) Authorisation would be advantageous but not essential. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the remote nature of the sites.
