Job Description Online 1-1 GCSE Science Tutor (previous experience is essential) £30 per hour, weekly paid PAYE 1-hour sessions per student, all within school hours only (i.e. 9am-3pm) Temporary contract, up to 20 hours per week (or fewer hours if preferred) The Education Network, based in Warrington, is Cheshire's leader in providing 1-1 Tutors to students not accessing full-time education or transitioning between schools. We are looking to grow our bank of online Science 1-1 Tutors. We have been specialists in this field for over 14 years, working directly with mainstream and SEN schools, as well as 8 education authorities, and this is expanding rapidly. Currently, we have a high demand for 1-1 Tutors who can deliver online Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) mainly for KS3/KS4 students who are permanently excluded or on a reduced timetable. This is not top-up or after-school tuition. Sessions are held throughout the school day, approximately from 9.30am to 3pm, and we offer lots of flexibility with timings and timetables. Many of the young people we support on a 1-1 basis have mild and moderate SEMH issues and varying reasons for not attending school. Many are disengaged, having not attended school for some time, and can display challenging behavior or may have certain emotional barriers to learning. Therefore, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible, and non-judgmental approach, as well as recent experience providing a holistic approach to re-engage students back into education. This can be a very rewarding role and suits professional and dedicated Tutors who are seeking a part or full timetable to possibly work around another job, childcare, studies, or simply prefer to teach with more flexibility on a 1-1 basis. Sessions are usually 1 hour per student, and we can offer you as few or as many hours as you wish! To express your interest, please submit a CV via this ad, and we will be in touch. Check out our testimonials from current tutors below... Tutor Testimonials - EdNet Please note this role requires you to have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS on the update service. We can help arrange this for you.
