About The Role

Are you a customer focused, hands-on team player with a passion for delivering excellent service? We are recruiting an Onsite Trade Counter Assistant to join our dynamic team in Barrow. This is a physical role, which will involve carrying stock of varying sizes and weights. Any offer of employment will be subject to a site security test. Key responsibilities include: Acquire relevant stock items for customers from Arco safety stores Liaise directly with customers and account managers to ensure a high level of service Efficiently manage time to ensure customer sites are visited at agreed dates and times Liaise with the central team to ensure stocks are counted and accurate data maintained as well as updating them on relevant customer information Maintain professional housekeeping standards of all inventory and locations within a customer site and work in the trade counter as required in times of absence/holidays of colleagues Comply with vehicle servicing requirements and maintain the appearance of their company vehicle Complete weekly control forms to be returned to the central team for logging On top of working for the UK’s leading integrated health and safety experts, you’ll also receive: A starting salary of £12 per hour plus up to 10% annual bonus 32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, plus the option to purchase up to 5 more days 2 fully paid Community Volunteering days (pro rata for part time) every year An excellent pension and Life Assurance scheme A huge range of high street retailer discounts to help with cost of living via MyArco Perks Free, 24-hour access to our Employee Assistance Programme Access to our Learning Management System, to support your personal and career development Long-term service awards – we’re proud to have employees who have worked for us for 40 years The ideal Onsite Trade Counter Assistant will be/have: Experience within a trade counter or stock control environment Must be IT literate; Microsoft packages Driving licence greatly advantageous to provide holiday cover driving duties Experience using SAP would be advantageous Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation About Us
