We are looking for people who have worked in the telecoms industry as Copper Installation Engineers on the Openreach network, with experience working at heights.

Working on an Openreach contract, you will be installing copper lines into customer houses, working in the cabinets, and climbing poles, which are essential.

A two-week training course will be held in Risby - this is for people who have knowledge of copper service delivery on Openreach.

Job Requirements Driving to customers' houses and premises. Liaising with customers to ensure installations can take place. Adhering to Health and Safety legislation. Working at height - climbing ladders safely. Working in underground telecommunications chambers and in street cabinets. Installing copper cable to customer premises. Installing a network connection point in customer premises. Explaining the new connection to customers and ensuring they are fully satisfied.

Qualifications Must hold a full UK driving licence. Must be over 21 years of age (for company vehicle insurance). Confident working at height and in underground network. Excellent communication skills. Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable). Hold or have held PIA accreditations (desirable). Risk assessment and hazard identification with a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.

What's on offer for successful candidates? All equipment provided - Tooling, PPE, and Uniform. Vehicle with fuel card. Training provided for various activities.

Contract Duration & Rates This is a long-term contract role and you will be paid for the jobs you complete. Once trained, we would expect people to be achieving a minimum of 5-7 copper jobs per day or a blend of copper installs with MI & SI jobs.

This role comes with a fuel card, van, tools/equipment, and training if required.

Estimated earnings for experienced Engineers: £35k-£45k per annum.

Full training will be provided (Training to be undertaken at Risby - near Bury St Edmunds).

When on training, you will be paid £93.75 per day.

When buddying, you will be paid £93.75 per day.

Accommodation provided if over 90 minutes from the training centre.

You will be paid via a payroll company and you will be paid umbrella PAYE.
