Opera Holland Park is looking for one or two experienced Stage Managers for productions in their 2025 summer season. Our ideal candidates will have experience of Stage Managing an opera production with chorus, and experience of sourcing props and managing a props budget.
We are looking for Stage Managers for our revivals of
Itch
and
La traviata . These productions run back to back and we are open to considering two separate Stage Managers, or one person for both productions. The stage management team will comprise the Stage Manager, Deputy Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager and often a student placement who may or may not remain with the team during the performance period. Both productions are revivals with a shortened rehearsal period and the majority of the principal cast returning. The Stage Manager oversees the sourcing of props including maintaining an accurate props budget. As these are revivals, the majority of the props have been in storage but some hires and consumables will be necessary. Production Details
Itch 6 May to 14 June 2025, with the possibility of some ad hoc work in April tbc. These dates include prep, rehearsals, 7 performances and pack down.
