We are currently looking to recruit dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individuals to join our team within the Theatre Department at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The Operating Department Orderly role is a vital part of ensuring the maintenance of the day-to-day efficiency of the Theatre Department. Main Duties of the Job

The duties are predominantly that of escorting patients to and from the Theatre Department and wards in a timely manner. As such, you will be expected to have a caring and friendly personality as often you will be the first representative of the theatre team to meet the patient. There are many other general duties required within the department. An ability to work and communicate with all other members of the ward and theatre teams is essential. As some unsociable hours will be rostered, the ability to be flexible will be expected; weekends and evening shifts may be included. About Us

You will be joining a friendly, supportive, patient-focused and innovative team where you will be fully supported. A full in-house Theatres induction package will be mandatory. Job Responsibilities

Previous experience of working within the NHS Previous experience of working within a theatre department environment Qualities

Ability to treat all information confidentially Ability to work within a team and take instruction Ability to work under pressure Ability to manually handle people and equipment Disclosure and Barring Service Check
