NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an Operational Buyer for our client, who are a global, industry leader in Power Technology.

Operational Buyer Contract position: 12 months Hybrid working: 3 days/week in office Location: Leamington Spa

A snapshot of your day

Day to day involvement in all the Procurement activity within the business to ensure efficient management of the procurement and business targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

To manage a work queue and secure that POs are issued in due time. Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement. Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment. Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems). Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality. Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems. Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.

What You Bring

Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment). Outstanding Excel skills. 3 years of experience in Direct Procurement. Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives. Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organizational environment. Bachelor’s degree. English - Advanced/Fluent level.
