Job Purpose

The Procurement Operations team is responsible for operationally managing all facets of the Procurement and supplier relationship management technology suite and supplier enablement lifecycle to ensure business adoption and that the system(s) works as expected.

The role serves as a system expert by providing training/guidance and solutions to users, producing reporting, and providing technical and administration support to buyers as well as supplier enablement/management to troubleshoot and resolve implementation, enablement, communication transmission, and invoicing issues across the whole end-to-end processes of Procurement.

What You'll Do Serves in lead capacity providing guidance, training, being a subject expert and an escalation point with regards to Procurement technology to business users and suppliers. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience, communicate system benefits, requirements, and timelines to stakeholders to drive adoption and data integrity. Support buyers with general admin and technical support. Monitors system being used dealing with any system issues and liaising with IT as required. Acts as a Liaison between procurement and AP or other functions related to any business process or technical issues. Ensure data inputted into the system is accurate and robust. Produce reporting for users and buyers. Who You Are

Essential

System experience with maintaining P2P/ERP/Procurement systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Highly motivated, confident, energetic and must possess passion for customer service and delivering at a high level. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Proven experience of adding value by learning to do new things in better ways and encourage fresh thinking. Organised and a can-do person. Strong team player with strong interpersonal skills. Desirable

Financial Services and IT experience - knowledge of the regulatory environment. Process reengineering. Previous experience with Ariba P2P. Subject matter expert on Accounts Payable or Procure to Pay process. Benefits of working at Canada Life
