As the
Operational Risk & Governance Manager , you’ll play a critical role in strengthening our second line of defence, driving risk maturity, and ensuring we maintain a robust risk management culture. Key Responsibilities: Own and enhance the Group Risk Management Framework (RMF), including: Risk identification and mitigation strategies Maintaining the Group’s Risk Appetite and Policy Suite Conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessments Monitoring and reporting risk events and near-misses Provide expert, balanced risk advice across all business areas. Oversee the implementation of effective risk monitoring processes and closure of risk events. Support the Group Compliance Director in preparing insightful risk management information for the Board. Act as Secretary for the Board Risk Committee and maintain governance policies. About You We’re looking for someone with: A Level 4 (or higher) risk management qualification and professional body membership. Strong knowledge of risk management in the financial advice sector, including personal investment, insurance, and mortgages. Leadership skills to influence a culture of accountability, professional curiosity, and continuous improvement. Superb communication, organizational abilities, and sound judgement under pressure.
