The Role As an Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role involves the delivery and maintenance of stringent Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in a tight knit team who deliver above and beyond for our customers in the strategic comms area. Day-to-day, you’ll oversee and supervise a small multiskilled team to provide operational and maintenance requirements associated with many different service delivery projects. Organising operational engineering duties on site ensuring all prescribed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements are achieved. Organising the engineering team to deliver all operational and maintenance matters. To manage, organise and ensure accuracy of technical and administrative records and provide information as required. Carry out lone working, in accordance with Babcock Health and Safety instructions. An adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities, observing safe working practices as advised and instructed. Be proactive in the Safety & Health of self and others who may be affected by work activities. This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Skelton, Penrith. Essential Experience of the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor Extensive experience in an engineering role. A thorough knowledge of current relevant safety regulations. A working knowledge of electronic, electrical, data, IT, Radio Frequency (RF) and power engineering. Possess basic knowledge of data communications and networking technologies. Qualifications for the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) (or equivalent) in a related discipline. Full UK driving licence. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate can start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but will need to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
