The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Operations Director to lead, manage, and oversee our SPACE Student Accommodation portfolio. This senior role is integral to meeting targets for customer service, retention, growth, and profitability, with full P&L accountability.
The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the business strategy, leading a diverse team, and ensuring operational excellence across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to
the Group’s overarching business strategy and lead strategic development within the Space Operations team to align with short- and long-term goals. Oversee
business development and operational management of the Student Accommodation portfolio, ensuring full accountability for P&L performance. Develop and manage
the Operations department budget, ensuring the necessary resources are available to achieve objectives within financial parameters. Serve as
the primary point of contact on operational functions, staying informed about industry trends to maintain the company’s competitive edge. Provide strong
leadership, ensuring the organisation attracts, retains, and develops top talent. Lead and inspire
a team of General Managers to deliver exceptional results. Build effective
succession plans, leverage team strengths, and support professional development within your team. The Person: We are looking for a driven individual with a proven track record in managing Student Accommodation, leading large teams, and maintaining high standards of service and operational consistency. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, capable of fostering a high-performance environment that embraces continuous improvement. You will also bring a creative approach to sales and marketing, with the ability to design and execute innovative solutions. Skills and Experience Required: Senior-level operational management
experience, ideally within Student Accommodation or a similar industry. A natural, inspirational leader
with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Proven leadership
and supervisory capabilities. Strong
team collaboration skills. Expertise in
project, planning, change, and time management. Excellent
judgment and decision-making abilities. Ability to
coordinate effectively with other departments. Experience in
