This new role will report into the Group Finance Director, with a strong dotted line into the Group Operations Director. The role will provide critical finance support to the Group Operations Director and his team in the delivery of numerous strategic and transformational operations initiatives across the Group.

The role will have considerable exposure to the senior leadership team and therefore this role represents a great opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant contribution to the performance trajectory of the business alongside achieving rapid, professional growth.
It will be a varied role with duties to include: Finance co-pilot and ‘critical friend’ to the Group Operations Director, Divisional Operations Directors and Procurement teams Working with the management accounting information prepared by the divisional finance directors and their teams, summarise and provide relevant information and insight into operational performance and performance KPIs Analysis of operational performance against budget and rolling forecasts Production of both existing as well as development of new and enhanced operational KPIs and performance measures across the group Drive the development of a consistent bill of material and standard costing methodology and process Provide financial leadership and challenge to maximise working capital efficiency – especially in relation to management of inventory levels Supporting the capex approval process, including providing the financial input into operational business cases Financial modelling to support a range of projects
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences: Strong management accounting and operational performance measurement skills Strong experience in a manufacturing environment CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified Experience of standard costing methods and direct labour cost modelling and control Ability to work with and influence finance and non-finance colleagues across multiple sites Demonstrable analytical and modelling skills Possess the ability to balance time effectively across stakeholders and multiple requirements A team player with a great work ethic Self-motivated with an inquisitive and curious mind Flexible and pro-active Rigorous approach to delivering to deadlines Hands-on and willingness to learn
