Job summary We are looking for an Operations Manager to work within our Penzance service. You will be jointly responsible for the delivery of high-quality recovery-orientated services (both clinical and non-clinical) for people with drug & alcohol misuse problems or mental health issues. Main duties of the job A key feature of this role is to lead the development of recovery-orientated treatment services that meet local needs and to actively contribute to the extension of service provision and the development of new initiatives. As an Operations Manager you will work in conjunction with the Quality & Clinical Governance and Knowledge Management Teams to improve standards whilst seeking to make efficiency savings. This will draw upon your experience of managing budgets and your commitment to placing service users at the heart of the organisation. You will also undertake safeguarding leadership responsibilities, in line with the local and national safeguarding leadership structures. In addition to service development, you will ensure that facility and property matters relating to service delivery are managed efficiently and effectively and that data monitoring is available and demonstrates the benefits and impact of the work of the service. You will have excellent communication and people management skills, to ensure your success in engaging with stakeholders, working across the organisation and leading and managing a successful team to deliver strategic objectives. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years' worth of references and where applicable, will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Desirable Qualifications related to the field of substance misuse or mental health Experience Essential A proven track record of managing and leading drug and alcohol services or mental health services (or comparable services) Experience and evidence of working effectively at a management level Experience of managing a budget A track record of successfully working in joint ventures and partnerships A proven track record of creating and maintaining a strong performance management culture Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish credibility and/or make a positive impact Demonstrable skills relating to an ability to persuade, influence and negotiate, with stakeholders and manage effective, successful relationships, both internally and externally Demonstrable ability to develop and lead a cohesive team Able to analyse data and information and produce clear, easy to understand communications to a range of internal and external audiences Experience of developing business plans and implementing new services Desirable Experience of planning and delivery of group work programmes Experience and evidence of working effectively in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation Experience of leading on service reconfiguration
