The Operations Supervisor at a Sephora store plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and organized management of stock and inventory. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stockroom, inventory control, and ensuring timely replenishment of products on the sales floor. The Operations Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and Store Director and collaborates with other team members to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Management:

Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper organization of stockroom. Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of merchandise, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Verify stock quantities against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies. Conduct regular stock audits to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Implement efficient stock replenishment procedures to ensure product availability on the sales floor. Team Leadership: Supervise and train stockroom associates, providing clear direction and expectations, delegating tasks and responsibilities when needed. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the stockroom team. Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement effective stockroom procedures to streamline operations, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures. Optimize stockroom layout and organization for efficient product retrieval and replenishment. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency. Safety and Loss Prevention: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor stockroom security and prevent theft or damage to merchandise. Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or loss. Customer Service Support: Collaborate with sales associates and beauty advisors to ensure the availability of products on the sales floor. Assist customers with product inquiries and provide exceptional service when needed. Support the store team during peak periods, including sales events and promotions. New Store Opening Procedures: Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom. Skills: Previous experience in stockroom management or inventory control, preferably in the retail industry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent leadership and team management abilities and experience. Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and inventory. Knowledge of safety protocols and loss prevention measures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
