Role Overview: We are seeking a professional, dedicated, and empathetic Ophthalmic Patient Coordinator to join our team. This full-time, hybrid role involves a mix of in-clinic and remote work, offering a dynamic and fulfilling work environment. As an essential member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients from the moment they enter the clinic through to the completion of their treatment. The role involves greeting patients, performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests, assisting ophthalmologists during eye exams, managing appointments, processing payments, handling calls and emails, and ensuring an overall exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Greet and guide patients through their visit, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience. Perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests and assist ophthalmologists during eye exams (training provided). Manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and clear communication. Handle patient enquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service. Process payments, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments as needed. Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and procedures. Support the clinic's operational needs, including administrative tasks as required. Key Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A compassionate, patient-centric approach with the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Desirable Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service, ideally within a healthcare or optometry setting. Basic knowledge of ophthalmic conditions, procedures, and treatments.
