An opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join our progressive ophthalmology team at Imperial College Healthcare Trust, London.
You will be based within the Ophthalmic Imaging Department and work as part of a multidisciplinary team of consultant ophthalmologists, ophthalmic nursing, and other support staff across multiple sites.
This interesting and challenging role involves performing diagnostic tests on patients presenting with a variety of eye conditions. A knowledge of eye anatomy and pathology, along with experience of specialist ophthalmic imaging equipment, is desirable.

Main duties of the job

You will be producing images for diagnostic purposes for patients as part of their clinical pathway.
You must have experience of running clinics autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, as well as an extensive understanding of ophthalmic imaging procedures.
Ability to assist in training staff members is required.

Sound basic knowledge of photography/imaging
Self-disciplined/motivated to function independently but also able to motivate others

To have wide-ranging specialist knowledge of theoretical and practical medical photography
To have good working knowledge of the requirements of clinical governance
