A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis in a very busy practice in Billericay. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
You will be working in a busy, but highly organised practice that follows an easy, systematic process to maintain a smooth workflow to the day to day, allowing patients to be seen with care in a timely, efficient manner.
It is no shock that this practice has one of the highest rated customer service scores in the region, with a low staff turnover and the majority of staff being employed for 5-years+ (management have been in practice 10-years+).
This vacancy is full-time and can be open to either 37.5 or 40-hours per week, flexibility on weekend working can be discussed at interview.
Working hours are 9 to 5:30 Monday to Saturday and 10 to 4 on Sundays.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on the best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice. Requirements of the Optical Assistant
It is essential that you have previous experience working in a high-street opticians and are experienced and competent with all levels of dispensing. As well as experience, you will also have a friendly, upbeat yet professional attitude and can communicate effectively, building rapport with patients and offering quality customer service. As an Optical Assistant within this practice, you will work on the shop floor in the dispensing team. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general troubleshooting. As a member of the stores team, you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance. Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts, a competitive salary package dependent on your experience is on offer. A great team bonus scheme that can achieve approx. £200 per month is available.
