A very exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and sales-focused Optical Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis in a very busy practice. You will be taking on an all-round role mainly based in the dispensing team. The current dispensing team is approximately 10 strong and needs to grow as they are getting busier. You will be able to fit in with the current close-knit, friendly team and work with your colleagues to drive sales.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will primarily entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, as well as conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on the best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role, helping with the smooth running of the practice. Requirements of the Optical Assistant
As an Optical Assistant within this practice, you will work on the shop floor in the dispensing team. You will need to be able to dispense to all levels comfortably. You should have a proven track record and be able to thrive in busy environments. A key requirement of this role is that you must be able to work weekends (either Saturday or Sunday).
