This is an exciting opportunity for an Optical Design Engineer to join the site in Devon of an industry-leading organisation, working in the R&D team for fibre optical applications. This Optical Engineer is expected to design and develop fibre-optic components, modules and sub-systems, specifically high power fibre lasers and amplifiers.
Requirements:
A PhD in Engineering or Physics Experience in fibre optics, high-power fibre lasers Experience in design and development of fibre-optic transmission systems Ideal candidate will have worked on the development of high-power fibre amplifiers Experience with simulation tools, eg.
