This large, well-established and well-known optician is now looking for an Optical Practice Manager to join their team in the Camberley area. You will be joining a large team of 40+, in a professional yet clinical environment. This opportunity will be working full time, either 8:15am to 5:00pm or 9:30 to 6:00pm including Saturdays, no Sundays as this is already covered by the Assistant Manager. Competitive salary depending on experience – up to £38,000. Bonus scheme – KPI based bonus (Approx £3,500 per annum). Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

The main duties of this role will be to manage, control and keep a handle on the shopfloor staff. This includes training & development, identifying areas of improvement; creating individual plans and targets as well as implementing these to overcome such areas. You will ensure the shopfloor team are seeing to patients, answering phones and completing their daily duties. You will have previous people management experience as you will be managing a team of 40+ staff. A strong optical knowledge is also required as you will be dispensing and leading from the front, setting a good example. Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

You will ideally have previous management experience and will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in optics ideally as Assistant Manager/ Practice Manager level. You will be a confident leader and be able to delegate, train staff and keep control of the shopfloor. The ideal person will have previous performance management experience and has had experience in 1 to 1’s and managing KPI’s. You will be a friendly, yet professional person who is able to work with and lead a team, whilst also creating relationships and being on your team’s level. You will have previous optical experience and be competent in all dispensing as well as having a wide range of frames and lens knowledge. Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager
