This vacancy would be for an experienced Optometrist to be a full time resident in one of their practices just outside of the Exeter area. They are a large group of Opticians with over 20 practices in their portfolio. You will be joining a small team and be the sole Optometrist, this Optician is patient-led and aims to offer the best customer service possible.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Optometrist – ideally 3 years qualified. What’s important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients as they pride themselves on excellent customer care. Looking to do (on average) 10-12 tests per day with 35-minute testing slots (including your own pre-screening) to provide excellent service to your patients, you will be working with all the latest equipment in a relaxed calm environment surrounded by a close-knit friendly team.
Requirements of the Optometrist
Must be GOC registered
Open to newly qualified or experienced
You will be a team player – happy to come out of the test room when needed to dispense and offer advice to patients
Must be able to drive as this is a mobile role between a few different practices
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optometrist For your efforts, a competitive package is on offer:
Up to £70,000 basic
33 days holiday + your birthday off including Bank Holidays (Bank Holidays are closed)
Sociable hours 9am to 5pm with no Sundays or late nights
Free parking either at the practice or nearby
In-house CET training
Flexibility on Saturday working, no Sundays or bank holidays
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
Working 5-days, 9:00-5:00, Monday to Saturday, 37.5 hours, no Sundays or Bank holidays
