Salary: up to £52,500 pa
Part-time position in Swindon
One of the UK’s leading providers of community healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Optometrist to work on a part-time basis. You will work up to two days a week between Monday – Friday on a 9-5 basis.
The successful candidate will work alongside a wider clinical team to provide the safe, effective, efficient delivery of clinical care. You will have the ability to promote patient-centric care, with a focus on providing independent eyecare, as well as making assessments on the need for cataract surgery.
Qualifications
GOC registered Optometrist At least 12 months post-registration experience Skills
Able to assess and counsel patients for cataract surgery, including discussing expected outcomes Able to understand the risks and benefits of surgery with a considerate manner, whilst reflecting the patients’ needs Confident to undertake YAG laser with training Motivated to develop with a keen interest in the clinical side of optometry Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisation skills and attention to detail Understanding of clinical governance and ability to provide the highest quality of care to all patients Sound written and verbal communication skills Benefits
