We work in partnership with several NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home. These include Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, Ophthalmology services, and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures. About the job Calling all Optometrists! We have an amazing opportunity for you to join as an Optometrist for community services in the West Berkshire area. We will also consider consultants on a full or part-time basis. You will have 12 months of experience in Optometry with a higher certificate and be able to prescribe medications. About the role Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall vision needs. Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and glaucoma. Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patients’ visual needs. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery (e.g., LASIK, cataract surgery). Educate patients on proper eye care and lifestyle choices for maintaining healthy vision. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. About you MUST HAVE

full registration with the professional body. A minimum of 12 months’ experience seeing optometry patients. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, can work within a team and independently. Good timekeeping skills to ensure the clinics run smoothly and on time. *The position is subject to a successful disclosure at the appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the provision of your right to work documentation.
