Mark the Director is very professional, supportive, and friendly. He has been the Director for 10 years and has an established team of 30, with some staff having 24 years of service at Weymouth Specsavers. They are a sociable team and often enjoy nights out celebrating the team’s success. Mark strongly believes in investing in training and developing his staff, with staff members constantly growing and developing their skills and roles within the store, from Apprentice to Assistant Manager and his Saturday support, now training to be Dispensing Optician. Our experienced, diverse, and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patient’s needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers. What we’re looking for Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same. You’ll be confident testing at 20 minutes; meeting and exceeding all personal and team goals without compromising the high standards of clinical care we are proud of and be an ambassador for the Specsavers brand at all times. You will assist the directors with the supervision of professional and support staff as required; holding a Pre-Reg supervision qualification would be a distinct advantage, however, we are happy to support your learning and development in this area and pay for the appropriate courses.
