The role will predominantly be based in Glenrothes with requirements to work off-site – UK & global. Pension and private health care benefits. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and set up welding equipment, including orbital welding machines, power supplies, and gas systems. Ensure all necessary materials, such as pipes or tubes, are clean, properly aligned, and ready for welding. Program and calibrate orbital welding machines based on specific project requirements. Adjust welding parameters, such as current, voltage, and rotation speed, to achieve the desired weld characteristics. Operate orbital welding equipment to perform high-precision welds on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and exotic alloys. Monitor and control the welding process to maintain consistent quality and meet project specifications. Inspect welded joints using visual inspection to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements. Document and record welding parameters, inspection results, and other relevant data. Work closely with pipe fitters and design teams to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding procedures. Collaborate with other welders and technicians to ensure seamless integration of welding processes within larger projects and assemblies. Perform routine maintenance on orbital welding equipment to ensure proper functionality. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and new welding techniques. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to orbital welding technology.
