Location: Lab based – Oxford Opportunity for a Scientist (Synthetic, Organic Chemistry) to join a rapidly growing Agricultural Biotech company Join a growing team of scientists with a focus towards developing new generations of safe and effective herbicides with a focus towards sustainable crop protection products. Contribute to new molecule design KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Hands on Lab experience (minimum 1 year) A deep understanding of Organic Chemistry Strong practical chemistry understanding A graduate or postgraduate degree (BSc, MSc or PhD,) in Chemistry (Synthetic, Agrochemical or Medicinal Chemistry) End to end knowledge and experience of working processes within a chemistry lab environment Working knowledge of analytical techniques (LCMS and NMR) ROLE OVERVIEW: The hiring company are a team of world-class scientists working on the generation of safe and effective weed control solutions to help the agricultural sector protect their harvests and tackle the issues of land use change, deforestation and nature loss Having opened a new synthetic chemistry lab, the hiring company require Synthetic Organic Chemist's to join their growing team of Scientists developing new molecules for sustainable herbicides.
