24 hours per week Our client, a leading domestic abuse charity in Leeds, is looking to recruit an Out of Hours Team Leader to support, lead and manage the Out-of-Hours Team (OOH) responsible for the effective running of the Helpline and Refuge services out of normal hours. Synopsis of duties: You will supervise a team of staff in a key area of the service, supporting them to deliver a safe and effective service. Providing line management support and supervision. Provide high quality telephone support and referral service for Leeds Domestic Violence Service to callers by managing an effective Helpline. Provide emotional support and practical information to callers and staff. Assess risk and give appropriate safety planning advice. Take referrals for any of the LDV services whilst providing advice to victim-survivors and other professionals. Maintain effective quality monitoring, reporting and evaluation of statistical information and systems. Proactively take a lead with emergencies or safeguarding, ensuring policies and procedures are followed effectively. To ensure consistent high-quality trauma-informed delivery of services to victim-survivors and professionals including risk assessments, safety planning, signposting and the collation of service user feedback. Coordinate the delivery of support to families residing within emergency accommodation whilst recognizing the diverse needs of survivors, ensuring this support is responsive and accessible to all. To take a lead with training and development of dedicated OOH and Relief teams to ensure quality standards are met and services are delivered with appropriate practitioner responses to understanding domestic abuse and violence. Liaise with the Relief & Volunteer Coordinator to ensure services are covered effectively and efficiently. Monitor effective communication using handover processes and reports by liaising with other Team Leaders and teams. Ensure compliance of all Health and Safety Standards by operating the maintenance system and responding to maintenance incidents. Essential Requirements: Clear knowledge, understanding of Domestic Abuse, Violence, Sexual violence, Honour-based violence, stalking, forced marriage, impacts on victim-survivors and legislation frameworks. Experience of working in a refuge or supported housing setting. Working within an operational multi-agency and team environment. Proven ability to think clearly & act appropriately in a dynamic pressured environment. Clear knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding legislation and practice for adults and children. Clean driving licence with access to a vehicle. Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.
