37 hours per week, 5 days Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation requires an Outage Planning Engineer at their site in Torness, Dunbar. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience: Experience within Project planning/management. Possess a HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline or relevant. Enthusiasm, drive, ownership and the ability to facilitate change. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in cross-functional working groups. Role information: Develop fully logic linked and resourced task level plans for specific plant areas, review historic similar plans to identify differences and review these with appropriate Station departments. Manage 'Scope Change' during preparation phase and include details of risk mitigations. With the outage plant area lead run the area outage preparation meeting, managing the agenda, recording and tracking actions. Maintain plans during outage execution phase by updating progress, tracking critical path, building in and managing the impact of emergent work and identifying any errors/improvements required in the plan. Working with Operations to check and revise plans to maintain Tech Spec and other compliance requirements and to maximise 'Defence in Depth'. Support activities to deliver Pre-Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for both statutory, off load refuelling outages and Fuel Route outages. Liaise with the operational work planning team to ensure that pre and post outage work is identified and delivered as required to support successful outages.
