About The Service

Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre sits within Cardiff’s Education service, working closely with a diverse range of groups including Primary & Secondary schools, Cardiff Youth Service, and community groups. We deliver residential and day outdoor education provision in Bannau Brycheiniog and throughout South Wales. We are a 66-bed residential centre as well as an outreach provision based in Cardiff. About the Job

This post will be based at the Storey Arms residential provision but may occasionally need to undertake duties with the Storey Arms Outreach Provision. The post will be an integral part of the existing team, developing and delivering an already well-established outdoor learning programme to both residential and day visit learners. The post will also be expected to develop the existing programme of outdoor learning. Working with the Head of Centre, the post will also have responsibility for the coordination and development of the Storey Arms Duke of Edinburgh Expedition provision. What We Are Looking For From You

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a clear understanding of the importance of outdoor learning. They must have experience of developing and delivering high-quality outdoor education in a residential setting. We also seek someone who has experience instructing and supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs. The post holder must have experience of delivering and developing the expedition element of the Duke of Edinburgh award as this is a responsibility of the post. Additional Information
