We are seeking a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner who shares our enthusiasm for the outdoors and has a creative, proactive approach to early childhood education. Key Responsibilities: Supporting Children's Development:
Create a stimulating, safe, and engaging environment for children aged 2-5 years, supporting their emotional, physical, and social development through hands-on outdoor activities. Outdoor Learning:
Embrace outdoor learning principles, ensuring that children are encouraged to explore and interact with the natural world, developing skills in communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Planning and Delivering Activities:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate outdoor activities that promote learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a particular focus on creative, nature-based activities. Child-Centered Approach:
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, ensuring that their individual needs and interests are met while maintaining a child-centered approach to learning. Health and Safety:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times, maintaining a high standard of care and adhering to all safeguarding policies and procedures. Collaboration with Team:
Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure a positive, supportive, and cooperative working environment. Ideal Candidate: Qualifications:
You must hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent). Passion for the Outdoors:
A genuine love for outdoor learning and a deep understanding of how nature can inspire and support young children's development. Creative Mindset:
The ability to think creatively and adapt to the needs and interests of the children in your care, ensuring that learning is fun, engaging, and inspiring. Experience:
Experience of working in an early years setting, ideally in an outdoor or forest school environment, though we are open to applicants with a strong passion for outdoor learning. Child-Centered Approach:
Strong communication and observational skills, with a commitment to meeting the individual needs of each child. Team Player:
A friendly and flexible approach, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the overall development of the setting. Commitment to Safeguarding:
