Starting May 2025 Outpatient Therapy Lead Band 8A Full time: 37.5 hours per week An exciting new opportunity has arisen to appoint an Outpatient Therapy Lead for Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy and Dietetics. The post holder will have experience of successfully leading others. We are looking for someone who enjoys the pace of life in a busy outpatient setting across our 6 service points in the county and has the energy to drive change and service improvements. This role includes Trust wide working, with an expectation that it will include the responsibility of operational leadership of an integrated therapy service across all sites. Main duties of the job

Responsible for operational management and clinical leadership of Outpatient services, including management of a delegated budget, recruitment, retention and deployment of staff, absence management, managing complaints, procurement and managing resources. Accountable for effective, efficient, high quality service performance. Ensure effective communication between partners with ULHT and the wider healthcare community. Represent Services at a local level, and as required at a Trust-wide level. Ensure staff and department comply with relevant Trust policies and guidelines. Maintain a clinical caseload, with clinical activity accounting for between 20-30% of working hours. Person specification

Qualifications

Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy or Dietetics. HCPC Registered. Evidence of relevant post graduate courses/CPD. Supervisory Skills. Working towards ‘M’ level accreditation. Previous Experience

Experience in an outpatient setting at Senior level in a specialist field and leading a team. Validated managerial course. Relevant validated clinical courses. Membership of a specialist interest group. Skills

Excellent knowledge of profession in relevant area. Forward thinking. Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-directed learning. Ability to work independently. Ability to pass on skills/knowledge to others informally & formally. Excellent knowledge of policies and procedures. Excellent knowledge of CPD issues. Audit & research. Member of special interest group. Specific Requirements

Ability to work well within MDT. Committed to personal and team development. Ability to work well with others & get the best out of your team. Able to maintain judgement under pressure.
