Outsource Manager
Job Purpose:
The Outsource Manager will ensure that outsourced parts manufactured to Baker Perkins drawings meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations. They will build and maintain supplier relationships to improve Baker Perkins' margin, product quality, and competitiveness. Supporting the Procurement Manager, they will drive continuous improvement of the supply chain in line with Baker Perkins and Hillenbrand's business strategies. The role involves auditing, assessing, and developing the supplier base to meet company standards, as well as driving team development and promoting excellence in supply chain management.
Main Duties:
Oversee management of outsourced suppliers to ensure compliance with cost, quality, and delivery standards.
Conduct supplier audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop a scalable outsource supply chain that aligns with growth objectives.
Collaborate on new equipment designs while providing feedback on manufacturability.
Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance supply chain capabilities.
Communicate effectively regarding supply chain disruptions and resolve project execution challenges.
Candidate Profile:
Strong passion for supply chain management and commitment to continuous improvement.
Proven leadership skills with experience in team development and performance enhancement.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles; Green Belt certification preferred.
Demonstrable understanding of manufacturing processes for various product types.
Proficient in quality control processes and knowledgeable about ISO9001 standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Travel Activity:
