Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Review and oversee the work of junior team members, supporting their professional development. Client Interaction: Respond to, and anticipate, clients' needs, ensuring a high level of service. Technical Expertise: Prepare and review VAT returns, management accounts, consolidations, and cash flows. Project Management: Handle multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Service Delivery: Uphold the firm’s reputation by consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
Team Player: Proactive, hands-on, and confident in managing changing priorities in a busy environment. Organisational Skills: Naturally organised with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Technical Skills:
Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Xero, Dext, and QuickBooks proficiency. Strong VAT knowledge. Previous proven experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts.
Qualifications:
Studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. Alternatively, qualified by experience (QBE).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a small/medium-sized practice. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong numeracy and analytical capabilities.
Benefits
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Annual Leave:
Assistant Manager & Managers: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays. Other Roles: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays. Up to 3 additional paid days when offices close over the Christmas period.
Agile Working:
While we embrace remote working, we also value in-person collaboration. Initial office-based work for the first few weeks, then transitioning to a hybrid model with 3 days in the office per week.
