Job Summary An Outstanding Primary School in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time, fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will work closely with a student on a one-to-one basis, as well as support the class teacher in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities and Duties Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, or other developmental challenges. Work alongside the class teacher to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the pupil’s specific needs. Support the pupil’s social integration and engagement with peers during group activities. Observe and track the pupil’s progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher, SENCO, and parents. Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all students. Ensure the safety and well-being of students by adhering to the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies. Qualifications and Skills Essential: Experience working with children with SEN in a school or childcare setting. Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning difficulties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with children. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Desirable: Relevant qualifications in education or child development (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma). Knowledge of behavior management strategies.
