Skills and requirements

• Proven experience working in a heavy engineering, rail, automotive, aerospace, or similar precision mechanical environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical overhaul, assembly, and testing of large components such as bogies, wheelsets, or rotating equipment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical instructions, and inspection standards.

Additional role context

• Repair, and assembly of bogies, wheelsets, and their associated sub-components in accordance with CAF Rail UK overhaul procedures, engineering specifications, and HSQE standards.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant mechanical/electrical discipline.
