What You Need to Have

Bachelor’s degree

in Civil or Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred). At least

4-5 years of experience

in OHL design within the UK. (National Grid) Proficiency in OHL design software such as

PLS-CADD , Tower, or Pole (preferred). Strong knowledge of

UK standards and safety regulations

for overhead line projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines. Proven track record of delivering complex OHL projects on time and within budget. Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior team members. What You Get in Return

As an

OHL Design Engineer , you’ll be a technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and delivering overhead power line projects. Key Responsibilities Include: Designing OHL routes, selecting materials, and preparing technical specifications using tools like

PLS-CADD . Leading and managing OHL projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Collaborating with other disciplines (civil, structural) and subcontractors to achieve project goals. Overseeing the preparation of designs, layouts, and technical reports. Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices.
