Do you have extensive administration and PA experience? We are currently looking to appoint a diligent and organised PA to support and oversee diary management for the Principal of Harris Academy Beckenham. About Us

Harris Academy Beckenham is a happy, energetic and all-inclusive 11-18 academy which is widely recognised as one of the most successful and highest performing schools in Bromley. We retained our ‘Outstanding' judgement in May 2023 following our previous 'Outstanding' inspection in June 2017. We are one of 52 schools in the country to retain this judgment. The academy is oversubscribed with 1,500 applicants applying each year for 180 places. The academy has a reputation of excellence, high standards of discipline and behaviour and a proven track record of academic success with outcomes significantly above national averages across all measures. In 2019 we were designated as a ‘World Class' school because of the amazing work we do to develop students' skills, character and competencies which rival and compete with those students from the very best schools internationally. We have since been re-accredited in 2022, confirmation that our Academy is, and continues to be, World Class. Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include: Keeping the Principal's diary and entering all appointments, assisting the Principal to manage their time efficiently and effectively Providing a daily diary and documentation for meetings and maintain an overview of approaching deadlines Taking all telephone calls for the Principal in the first instance, dealing with queries and passing calls on if absolutely necessary Organising meetings and passing on messages between the Principal and staff, students, parents/carers and other external agencies Maintaining the Principal's paper and electronic filing system Clerical duties, telephone calls and secretarial tasks Preparing and proof-reading any documentation required by the Principal. Completing any other tasks as may be reasonably directed by the Principal, within the bounds of this job description. Line management of reception staff Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have: Qualifications to degree level or Equivalent Knowledge of Microsoft software packages Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation Secure knowledge of human resources legislation Basic knowledge of financial procedures Training and Certification in a broad range of Health and Safety areas Knowledge of procurement processes Knowledge of the key principles of staff management Appropriate degree or equivalent level of education Trained in the use of a variety of ICT packages Knowledge of personal assistant roles and responsibilities Next Steps
