About The Role As a

Packaging Buyer , you will play a key role in maximizing profitability through responsible sourcing and procurement, while fostering a culture of food safety, integrity, and ethics. You will be responsible for all aspects of packaging procurement, ensuring products are safely produced to meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will also build strong relationships with suppliers to secure supply, negotiate the best prices, and contribute to the company's Packaging Sourcing Strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead all procurement activities for packaging, ensuring efficient cost management. Stay updated on packaging innovations and trends to keep AMFRESH at the forefront of the industry. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, setting performance metrics and driving cost-saving initiatives. Collaborate with Commercial, Technical, and Sustainability teams to achieve quality and service level targets. Responsible for packaging compliance across 5 business units in the UK. Coach, train, and motivate your team to foster their development and demonstrate leadership. Undertake the identification & execution of cost avoidance/saving initiatives and develop cost reduction plans. About You Essential:

In-depth knowledge of procurement systems and packaging materials. Negotiation experience with a track record of achieving significant savings. Strong communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable:

Degree-level education or equivalent. Experience in food manufacturing and supplier management.
