Packing Engineer

to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of critical equipment.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about driving operational excellence.

Role Overview

The Packing Engineer will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and asset performance while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Working closely with production and engineering teams, the role focuses on preventative and reactive maintenance, supporting production activities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver reliability improvements and asset performance enhancements for packing machinery.

Train and implement good run settings and operational standards.

Conduct preventative maintenance, quickly respond to breakdowns, and minimize downtime.

Ensure compliance with GMP standards, SOPs, and Health & Safety protocols.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CaPas).

Support start-up and shutdown activities to optimize time and efficiency.

Proactively identify equipment defects and safety concerns through regular inspections and GEMBA walks.

Maintain detailed and accurate cGMP documentation and ensure timely completion of work orders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and process performance.

Candidate Requirements

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.

Proven experience with machinery setting, particularly in a packing environment.

Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance.

Self-motivated and team-oriented with excellent time management and communication skills.

Industry experience in manufacturing and troubleshooting technical equipment.
