Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity to join the team, performing maintenance duties at sites across NZ. The key focus of this role will be to: Plan, direct, report and participate in all maintenance and associated functions (including retooling and setup changes) Perform fault-finding, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks effectively Be involved in new installations & ongoing maintenance activities Provide our customers with support, by performing maintenance to relevant machinery Plan and implement the most efficient and effective delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and servicing machinery We can offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. For this role we would ideally like you to have: Strong trade qualified skills with knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and process control machinery An uncompromising attitude towards Health & Safety Must be willing and able to travel to different sites across NZ Experience performing maintenance on packaging machinery would be highly regarded (but is not a requirement) The ability to work unsupervised and motivated to complete tasks when working remotely Attention to detail and a quality outcome focus Strong relationship management and a customer-centric mindset are a must-have Good communication skill set - written and oral Production engineering knowledge (would be viewed favourably) Applications are open to both internal and external candidates.
