Are you an experienced Registered Paediatric A&E Nurse (Band 6) looking for a flexible and rewarding role? MedicsPro is currently recruiting skilled RCN Nurses with recent hospital experience for both full-time agency work and extra shifts at William Harvey Hospital. This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, Day shifts, during the hours of 07.30am-20.00pm, as well as Late Long Day Shifts, during the hours of 10.00am-22.30pm. Key Responsibilities:

Triage & Assessment:

Quickly assess paediatric patients in A&E, prioritize care, gather patient history, and perform physical assessments. Emergency Care:

Provide immediate care for life-threatening conditions, including trauma, respiratory distress, and seizures. Administer CPR, airway management, and other interventions until a physician takes over. Medication & Pain Management:

Administer age-appropriate medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and adjust treatments as needed. Monitoring & Observation:

Track vital signs, document patient responses, and escalate care when necessary. Family Communication & Support:

Inform and support parents/caregivers on diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Team Collaboration:

Work with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care, assist with procedures, and ensure smooth handovers. Infection Control:

Adhere to infection control protocols, maintain sterile environments, and use PPE properly. Documentation:

Keep accurate patient records and complete necessary paperwork, such as consent forms and discharge instructions. Emergency Preparedness:

Participate in paediatric resuscitation, trauma care, and mass casualty responses. Adaptability:

Adapt to different hospital settings and shift demands, maintaining high-quality care in temporary roles. Training & Development:

Stay updated on paediatric care practices, attend training sessions, and expand knowledge through diverse experiences. What We Offer:
