Paediatric Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

As a Paediatric Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in South Powys, your role will be to lead a small team of Specialist therapists delivering excellent services to a diverse range of patients in the rural context of Powys. Strong leadership skills and the ability to upskill and network will be essential as you navigate complex care, rurality, and diverse specialties as an autonomous practitioner. Main Duties of the Job

To provide physiotherapy to babies, children, and young people in South Powys. Responsibilities include: Providing supportive and strong leadership as part of the senior clinical leadership team, ensuring equity of support and strategic direction for the team across a widely dispersed area. Delivering advanced physiotherapy care in multiple settings using mediums such as Rebound Therapy, aqua therapy, serial casting, neurologically specific handling, and exercise programmes based on clinical needs. Promoting and demonstrating the right leadership culture. Assisting the Head of Service. Being responsible for physiotherapy within the designated area. Providing supervision, performance management, and appraisal of designated staff. Using active audit cycles to ensure effective improvements and quality assurance. Qualifications and/or Knowledge

HCPC Registered BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent Relevant postgraduate training at Masters Level or equivalent demonstrable academic knowledge to Masters level Detailed knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and its application Documented evidence of CPD Membership of CSP Appropriate Clinical Educator Course Membership of appropriate clinical specialist interest group Experience of audit procedures Leadership and first-line management experience Supervision of junior staff and students Experience of a range of health settings Experience

Extensive postgraduate experience with significant experience at a Senior level Experience of taking responsibility and managing complex caseloads Experience of clinical supervision of junior staff and students Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team Aptitude and Abilities

Working knowledge of local and national agendas and ability to deliver within service Excellent organisational skills Ability to analyse professional and ethical issues Demonstrates high level of physiotherapy knowledge of assessment and clinical reasoning Ability to take initiative and resolve problems Ability to motivate and influence a team of staff Clinical supervision and mentoring skills Excellent communication skills I.T. literate Commitment to client-centred non-discriminatory practice Commitment to lifelong learning Ability to work autonomously Presentation and training skills Critical appraisal skills Able to speak Welsh Values
