As a band 7, you will be one of the senior members of the paediatric dieticians team. You will support the paediatric diabetes team and dieticians team lead in monitoring, developing, and evolving the dietetic service across the Trust, and you will also be providing support to the junior members of the team.
We are looking for a Dietitian with strong communication, organisational, team working, and leadership skills with a passion for Diabetes. They should be focused on providing a high-quality dietetic service which is evidence-based and responsive to the changing needs of the NHS and this patient group.
The LNWH dietetic team is a large, dynamic, and friendly department of dietitians, dietetic assistants, and administrators based across Northwick Park, St Marks, Ealing Hospitals, and CMH.
The Paediatric Diabetes multidisciplinary team is a small department of specialist nurses, paediatricians, and psychologists.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be expected to work closely with the other Diabetes Dietitians within the Trust and lead on clinical and service development projects. Together, you will be the experts on nutrition in this field and will seek opportunities within the MDT to lead on service improvement, audit, and research, raising the profile of Dietetics within the team and organisation.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent postgraduate qualification. Current HCPC registration.
Desirable Member of the BDA. Member of Paediatric DMEG.
Knowledge & Experience Essential Advanced knowledge of evidence-based practice in paediatrics including Paediatric Diabetes knowledge. Extensive clinical dietetic paediatric experience including paediatric diabetes. Evidence of continuing professional development. Experience/awareness of working within a varied multi-cultural population. Knowledge and application of counselling skills/motivational interviewing/behavioural change. Previous experience of conducting audits and/or research for service development.
Desirable Experience in managing insulin pumps.
Skills, Abilities and Attributes Essential Excellent oral and written communication. Highly developed organisational skills. Excellent presentation skills. Good time management and prioritisation skills.
Desirable Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
