Job summary We are looking for 2 dynamic, enthusiastic band 6 nurses to join our team as a Junior Sister/ Charge nurse. Do you enjoy being a leader and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team? This exciting role requires a level of clinical expertise, along with the ability to manage a complex department alongside the paediatric nursing and clinical leadership team, negotiating flow into the Children Ward and Short Stay Unit. As a Junior Sister/ charge nurse you will be expected to drive and deliver patient care in a challenging environment, we are looking for a dynamic individual to maximise the consistency and effectiveness of the service provided to the local community. You will be a Registered Paediatric Nurse with substantial post registration experience in a Paediatric ED or Acute Paediatric setting (Appropriate ward level experience with transferrable skills will be considered). Candidate will be responsible for leading as Nurse In Charge in the absence of a band 7 nurse. They will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and improving patient care. They will be expected to get involved with completing audits and clinical governance within the department. They will support junior members of the team, providing a positive working culture and learning environment. Person Specification
