An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Women's & Children's Division for a Paediatric Safeguarding Data Administrator. This is a full-time permanent position. The post holder will work within the Paediatric team within The Countess of Chester Hospital. In this role, the post holder will provide an effective and efficient administrative and clerical service to all members of the Safeguarding and Clinical Team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide a high standard of clerical support. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative, but also as part of a team. Excellent communication and administrative skills are essential for this role, along with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. Organisational skills are also essential. A working knowledge of general office procedures and Microsoft packages is required, but full training will be given in the use of Medisec and EPR+ software. Knowledge of medical terminology would also be an advantage. Main duties of the job

To provide an effective and efficient administrative and clerical service to all members of the Safeguarding and Clinical Team and to support the work being carried out across the Trust for the delivery of the safeguarding agenda. To facilitate all data administration aspects of the Trust's Safeguarding and Complex Care strategy, which supports the monitoring of the Trust's statutory safeguarding function including supporting the submission of the Safeguarding Assurance Framework and other mandatory safeguarding submissions, as well as the safeguarding standards, processing audit and/or performance data. To work collaboratively and co-operatively with all Trust staff, working as the primary gatekeeper for liaison between all Trust staff and the Safeguarding and Complex Care Team, supporting the delivery of safe and effective care. To work with the Community Paediatrics Team in meeting national standards for IHAs (Initial Health Assessments). About us

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population. The Trust is a busy district general hospital and in 2022/2023, there were more than 503,342 patient attendances (inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic) ranging from a simple outpatient appointment to major cancer surgery. Qualification

Higher National Certificate (HNC) / Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent experience RSA typing 111 or equivalent experience Proficient IT skills to include Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, ECDL Knowledge and Experience

Experience of managing own workload with minimal supervision Experience of participation with audit and performance dashboards Experience of supporting with policy development Understanding of the Safeguarding Assurance Framework, Section 11 audit, and Compliance audits Experience of establishing partnerships across the multi-agency arena and knowledge of professional and NHS issues. Understanding of Data Protection / Caldicott issues Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information. Participation in service development and change management Understanding and awareness of infection control issues within the national and political context (Health and Social Care Act 2008) Understanding and awareness of current legislation regarding safeguarding children and adults. Prior experience of working within both Safeguarding and Complex care Disclosure and Barring Service Check
