Overview:

We have an opportunity to work within our fast-paced hand spraying department processing bespoke variations of products & colours required for customer orders. The successful candidate will ensure that all processes within the hand spraying area are carried out accurately within an acceptable level of finishing, as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring the equipment and housekeeping are maintained to the highest possible standard as described within the relevant departmental SOP’s. The Company has a specific service objective of providing customer delight to both internal and external customers. The post holder is required to pay particular attention to this in the performance of all aspects of the role. Responsibilities:

Understand the product specification in order to identify defects before painting. Be proactive, correcting any minor defects where possible. If unable to do so, flag any issues immediately with Lead Hand, Team Leader or supplier for corrective action. Be able to prioritise your workload where necessary. To continuously complete products to the required high standard. Ensure that personal protection equipment is worn at all times. Maintain a clean and tidy workplace – 5S. Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed. Be able to work in an effective and timely manner. Be flexible and adaptable to the working requirements. Regularly inspect the finishing equipment for mechanical and safety issues whilst carrying out daily PPM checks and report failings to the leadership team. To take pride and ownership in every job completed, as well as your working environment. Communicate with other internal departments and accurately document daily production KPI’s. Essential Skills and Experience:

Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a hand sprayer (2 years minimum). Ability to strip down, maintain and re-build spraying application systems. Ability to read and interpret documents and production drawings. A positive attitude, a good team player, able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. Lifting/manoeuvring large items (with assistance if required). Close inspection work and the ability to differentiate accurately between materials & colours. The ability to follow the requirements of Standard Operating Procedures and work with minimal supervision. Ability to solve problems and make improvements to processes. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Basic PC skills. Well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively. Resilient with the ability to work in a challenging environment. Knowledge of health & safety regulations advantageous. Good mathematical understanding. Undertakes tasks with the ability to prioritise to ensure OTIF delivery. Works in a collaborative manner with internal customers/suppliers. Ability to work unsupervised once trained. Problem solving, root cause analysis, and 5 why investigation desirable. Spreadsheet and document data inputting using Excel/Word desirable. Work within the KBB industry knowledge desirable but not essential. Working in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. Full-time, permanent
